Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Reps. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Reps.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. Children use Reps through a parent or guardian's account, never their own.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and who can see it. It is part of this agreement.

What Reps is

Reps is a tool for running youth-baseball practices and tracking player development. Coaches plan and run practices, log repetitions, and communicate with families. Families follow their own child's progress and collect in-app trading cards.

Reps is not a coaching authority, a medical or safety service, or a substitute for adult supervision. The ranks, tiers, experience points and training exercises are motivational tools built on judgement calls we have made about youth baseball. They are not an assessment of a child's ability, potential or fitness to play, and nothing in the app should be used to make a decision about a child's health.

Your account

• ·You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything a child does while using your device.
• ·Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.
• ·Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current — it is how we reach you about your account.
• ·One account per person. Do not share an account between two adults; invite the second adult instead.

The account PIN and Kid Mode

The optional PIN is a convenience that keeps a child out of coach view and out of account settings on a shared phone. It is not a security control and it is not a substitute for supervising a child's device use.

Players, teams and who controls a record

A player record represents a child. It is created by a coach or a parent, and a parent or guardian connects to it by claiming an invitation.

• ·A parent or guardian who is connected to a player is the person we treat as controlling that child's information.
• ·A coach controls the teams they run, and may add or remove players from those teams.
• ·Removing a child from a team ends that coach's access to the child's record. It does not delete the child's history, which belongs to the player, not to the team.
• ·If two adults disagree about a child's record, we will act on the instruction of a connected parent or guardian, and we may suspend access while a dispute is unresolved.

By creating or connecting to a player record for a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian's permission to enter that child's information into Reps.

Rules of use

Do not use Reps to:

• ·Harass, bully, threaten, demean or sexualise anyone — in a message, a coach note, a team announcement, a custom roster field, or anywhere else text can be entered.
• ·Enter information about a child that you have no right to enter.
• ·Store medical records, government identifiers, financial details or other sensitive information in free-text fields. The app is not built to hold them.
• ·Impersonate another person, or claim a coaching role you do not hold.
• ·Attempt to reach another team's players, another family's data, or any account that is not yours.
• ·Probe, scan, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it through automated means.
• ·Upload anything unlawful, infringing, or containing malicious code.

Coaches and team staff accept an additional set of obligations, because they handle other people's children's information. Those are in the Coach and Team Staff Terms.

Messages

Messages between coaches and families are private between those two accounts, but they are not confidential from us: we can read them where we need to for support, safety or moderation, and we will disclose them if the law requires it. Write accordingly.

Content you enter

You keep ownership of what you enter — your notes, messages, drills, templates and team information. You give us permission to store, display and process it as needed to run the service for you and the people you have shared it with.

Sharing drills and templates

If you mark a drill or a practice template as shared, you are making it available to other coaches using Reps to view, copy and adapt. That is not reversible for copies already taken. Do not share anything you are not willing to have another coach keep.

Our content

The app itself — the software, the design, the card artwork, the training content and the Reps name and marks — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it inside the app and not elsewhere.

Points, cards and in-app items

Experience points, Reps Coins, trading cards, ranks and tiers have no monetary value. They cannot be bought with real money, cashed out, sold or transferred. We may adjust how they are earned and what they cost as we tune the app, including in ways that change what you have already accumulated.

If we ever introduce paid features, the terms for them will be presented separately before you pay for anything.

Availability and change

Reps is under active development. Features change, and sometimes they change substantially. We may add, alter or remove functionality, and we may suspend the service for maintenance.

We aim to keep your data safe and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Practice data is entered on phones in places with poor signal; the app queues work offline where it can, but you should not rely on Reps as the only record of anything that matters.

Ending it

• ·You can stop using Reps at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.
• ·We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts a child at risk, or that we are required to act on.
• ·If we close your account for a reason other than your conduct, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to get your data out first.

Disclaimers

Reps is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not vet coaches, clubs or families. An invitation inside the app is not a background check, an endorsement, or a statement that anyone is fit to work with children. Verifying who is coaching your child is the club's job and yours, not the app's.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost opportunities, or injuries occurring at a practice or a game.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months, or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

If a claim is brought against us because of what you entered into Reps, or because you used it in breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it. This does not apply to a claim arising from our own wrongdoing.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Alabama and the federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts sitting in Alabama, and you and we each consent to their jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please contact us. Almost everything is resolvable by a conversation, and we would rather have it.

Changes to these terms

We publish a new dated version when these terms change. If the change is substantive, you will be asked to read and accept it the next time you open the app, with a one-sentence summary of what changed. Continuing to use Reps after accepting is what makes the new version binding.
